The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday night near the intersection of West 14th and Crockett Streets.

A 14 year-old is hospitalized in critical condition following a shooting that occurred Monday night in Southwest Arkansas.

Tulsa District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler has charged officer Betty Shelby with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Terence Crutcher, and has issued a warrant for her arrest.

On Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 at approximately 7PM, officers assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division responded to an apartment complex located at 3302 Washington Street in Texarkana, Ark., in reference to a report of a physical altercation involving two women.

UPDATE: Denetre Johnson was located and arrested in Ashdown, Ark., yesterday afternoon, according to police. Johnson was charged with 1st degree Battery, Terroristic Act, and Aggravated Assault. It's hot, and normally I would not be the first person to to tell you to go outside and do anything in this heat. But if you like gazing at the stars and watching meteor showers, this Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be the best time to watch the Perseid meteor shower!
