April 25, 2013 The Walk For Life to benefit 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center in Texarkana is this Saturday, April 27, beginning at 8:30 a.m. This will be a fun-filled morning for the entire family including dogs! There will be a live band to entertain the walkers.

October 4, 2012 My favorite time of the year is here - FALL. Cooler weather, festivals, fairs, and Movies in the Park. There's nothing quiet like grabbing a blanket folding chair and heading to watch a movie outdoors at Spring Lake Park.
I will never understand why it's so hard for some people to pick up after themselves, or allow their kids to leave huge messes at our local parks and public use area's. It takes, what, less than 2 minutes to gather up your trash whenever you have a picnic at the park and put it in the garbage cans?
June 15, 2011 We had a group meeting the other day to discuss topics we could blog on, and I volunteered for The Top 5 Public swimming facilities in town. I thought, this will be cool. Maybe I could swim at a couple of local places. Maybe take some photos or video. Problem is, Texarkana does NOT have any public swimming pools!
