Texarkana's water park Holiday Springs now has a new name and new management too.

The Big Dam is the new name with new branding with Benny Beaver as the new mascot and according to their Facebook page, they are excited to be in Texarkana and looking forward to some great changes and updates.  

Summer will be here before you know it and a waterpark is the perfect way to stay cool and keep the kids entertained all summer long.

What Kinda of Changes Will Be Made?

Johnny Blevins of P2:3 Consulting, the management company that has acquired the waterpark, said in a press release,

Beyond a mere name change, our vision for the waterpark is deeply rooted in Arkansas's identity as "The Natural State." With a commitment to preserving the state's unparalleled outdoor beauty and the community's dedication to keeping Arkansas Beautiful, we aim to create a waterpark experience that harmonizes with these values and provide a safe and fun place for families to enjoy.

What's The Story Behind The Waterpark's Name Big Dam?

The new name is not only a fun play on words it is also named after the Big Dam Bridge located in Little Rock which is the longest pedestrian and bicycle bridge in North America.

When Does Big Dam Waterpark Open in Texarkana?

They are hoping for an opening date of Saturday, May 25 which is Memorial Day Weekend.

They posted on their Facebook page that they have two special passes right now for the 2024 season,
