Texas A&M-Texarkana is all about making things easier for their students.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana is hosting a weekly event called FAFSA Tuesdays. The event will be held each Tuesday evening through March 25 and is open to the public. Those who attend will receive expert guidance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSA Tuesdays will be held between 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. each Tuesday in the One Stop, located in UC 260. The purpose is to encourage students and their families to complete the 2014-2015 FAFSA early in order to meet the April 1 federal priority deadline. Students who have completed financial aid information filed by this date, including all requirements, have the best opportunity to receive limited state grants that are currently available.

Participants will need to bring key information that includes: Copy of 2013 Federal Tax Return W-2(s) 1040 Tax Form. Documentation of any other income and assets.

Assistant Vice President for Student Access and Success at A&M-Texarkana, Liz Patterson, encourages those who plan to complete the FAFSA form to attend FAFSA Tuesdays. “Our experts are here to assist you,” says Patterson. “It is important to complete your FAFSA as early as possible to ensure you do not miss out on available financial assistance
