Do you think children are smarter than adults?

Sometimes I think so. Most of us are so caught up in the rat race, trying to get ahead, buy the latest gadget, get a bigger house, or drive the sexiest car. But kids don't think that way. In fact, for them, the simple things matter most.

In "V Is For Vida," a little girl named Grace writes:

Life is a learning process that teaches us to courageously face hard times and appreciate the beautiful moments it brings. I love life, so I'm happy."

I don't know about you, but it took me a long time to learn that lesson. Honestly, I don't know if I was ever as courageous as the kids are at St. Jude. Daily, they face challenges that could mean the difference between life and death. So they appreciate the "beautiful moments" more. In fact, they look for them all around.

I witnessed a lot of "beautiful moments" when I visited St. Jude, from doctors sitting on the edge of patients' beds talking to the kids about their dreams to children consoling one another when their friends weren't feeling so good.

Become a Partner In Hope today, and you'll help create lots of "beautiful moments" for St. Jude kids, not only by contributing toward much needed research, but by letting these sweet children know how much they are loved.
