In the press release, they stated that this work will require the restriction of traffic on the main lane down to one lane while the work is taking place. Work will be mainly at night from 8 PM until 6 AM. TxDot estimates that this work will take up to 4 weeks to complete depending on inclement weather or other unforeseen issues that could cause delays or changes.

Daytime work in the median section on I-30 behind the concrete traffic barrier will continue.

Please remember, if you are a local resident or a commuter it is best to use the I-30 Frontage Road system. These frontage roads allow us to travel continuously without stopping eastbound from FM 989/Kings Highway to US 71/Stateline and also to use westbound from US 71/Stateline to FM 989/Kings Highway.
