The History
The building has a torrid past having survived fires in 1908 and 1936 that almost destroyed the inn and the town of Chester. Floods devastated the area in 1934 and again in 1957, the inn was the only building standing when it was over. it is believed by many that the inn once served as a brothel between WWI and WWII.
