It won't be long until daffodils will be in full bloom in Camden, Ark., as the community gets ready for the 23rd Annual Camden Daffodil Festival March 11-12.

Millions of daffodils will surround the various gardens in this quaint little town that features a stagecoach museum, antebellum homes totally restored and a winding nearby river. You can take a walk in an historic cemetery while you hear stories about the early settlers as told by people dressed in period clothing. There will also be an antique car show, bike show, quilt show, art show, and the Championship Steak Cook-Off on March 12, from 5PM until 6:15PM. And yes, they will be serving up some great steak you can purchase during that time. (See prices) There will also be live entertainment provided as well.

Of the six gardens in the area one is a Japanese Garden where martial arts will be viewed and demonstrated.

The festival kicks off with a 5K Run/Walk and then you can enjoy a Kiwanis breakfast at the Camden Fairview High School. At River Park, there will be several Civil War reenactments featuring cooking, firing canons and historical storytelling about the area.
