Get ready Camden's First Friday Market celebrates “Home For The Holidays," from 6PM - 9PM in downtown historic Camden, Arkansas.

This will be the last market for the 2019 season, and they wanted to usher everyone into the holiday season with a heartwarming tribute to our Military. You will find many ways to honor as well as give to those who always help to ensure our freedoms.

The market will start on one end of Washington St. with a trailer showcasing the logo for each branch of the military along with the American Flag and will end on the one end of Washington with another trailer highlighting “Operation Christmas Child”, thanks to Woodfield Trucking.

You can find a special booth with Huck Plyler and learn about “Huck’s Military Care Packages”, just look for him close to his scarecrow at the corner of Washington and Adams. Aerojet Rocketdyne will be highlighting “Operation Gratitude” which is a program that gives back to the military and their families.

Lifeshare will be on hand conducting a blood drive during the market.

As usual, there will be a vast array of vendors set up along Washington St and Adams Ave selling everything from art, clothing, refurbished furniture and jewelry. This last market of the season welcomes many new vendors as well as some of your favorite coming back after a short break.

Your taste buds can be delighted with Zay O’Neil’s Catering. Some of their featured items will be Cajun Chicken, Shrimp Alfredo Pasta, Alfredo Parmesan Wings, and Loaded Chicken Bacon and Ranch Fries. You might want to choose something different and can always enjoy some street tacos. Don’t worry about being cool as they will have great homemade soups and hot chocolate to keep you warm.

Once you grab your food for the evening, be sure to make your way to their special community table set up on Adams Ave. On the tables, you will find “Thankful Trees”. You're invited to fill out one of the leaves with what you are thankful for and hang your leaf one of the trees.

Stop by A-Frame of Mind to visit with this month’s featured author, Judy McCarver. She will be on hand with her book, “Parenting with Gumption and Grit”. You will also want to visit with their featured artist, Shuimei (Mei) Zhang. Mei is normally offering face painting during the markets. She is a very talented artist, which you will see from her art display on Friday.

Catch the sounds of local musician Mike Smith this month at the corner of Washington & Adams. Bring the entire family by Farmers Bank Parking lot to visit with the local National Guard Unit. They will be bringing a mobile gaming trailer, obstacle course, and pedal cars for all to enjoy.

Remember to cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow while at the market.

Downtown merchants will be open late for all your shopping convenience offering great First Friday specials.
