23For those of you who know and watch the multiple TV shows starring Chip and Joanna Gains, The Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas is probably nothing new to you, for Luddites like me who have never seen an episode of Chip and Joanna, this place was a delightful surprise.

I was tasked to take my mother and her friend Sue to Waco a few weeks ago, and for some reason I couldn't fathom at the time, Sue was very excited for me to see The Magnolia, because I had never heard of it, and she suspected that I would like it, she was correct.

From what I understand, this was a rundown part of downtown Waco under the shadow of a pair of long-a-go-closed silos that Chip and Joanna purchased, "fixed up," and have turned into one of the most unique shopping areas I've ever seen.

There are several small shops featuring items for guys, another one for ladies, and yet another for tourist items. Plus a small wedding chapel, food truck area, gardens, washer pits (similar to Corn Hole), bean bag chairs, a bakery, a home-type store, and much more. We only had about an hour to explore and believe me, that wasn't near enough time. You could easily spend 3 or more hours there with all there is to see.

It is definitely a destination to put on your "Touring Texas Bucket List" if you have one. If you don't have one, I suggest you get one. There is much fun to be had around the Lone Star State and we have just added another cool place to check out, The Magnolia, right down the street from Baylor University in downtown Waco, Texas.
