3 Arkansas Towns Named Most Underrated Travel Destinations

Family Destinations Guide just finished a study that included 3,000 Americans voting on the most-friendly underrated winter destinations out of 150 destinations in the United States and the following cities in Arkansas were voted on according to KAIT-TV

Eureka Springs

The historic town of Eureka Springs came in #29 for its old-world charm, as a matter of fact, the small town with a population of 2,220 is nicknamed "The Little Switzerland of America" or "The Stairstep Town" because of its winding brick-paved streets, walkways, and stairstep pathways surrounded by the beauty of the Ozark Mountain region.

Eureka Springs is reminiscent of a small town in the Swiss Alps because of its Victorian-style architecture, tree-lined streets, and quaint little shops, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants throughout the historic downtown area.

And who hasn't heard of the infamous historic Crescent Hotel?

Morrilton, Arkansas

Next up on the Most Underrated Winter Travel Destinations in Arkansas is the charming small town of Morrilton coming in at #51.

Morrilton located between Conway and Russellville about 45 miles from Little Rock is best known for being an adventurous getaway if you love the great outdoors and for being a very cultural-oriented city. People who travel here enjoy nearby Petit Jean State Park, the Cedar Falls Trail which is simply beautiful.

Mountain View

Finally, Mountain View comes in at #52 located in the beautiful Ozark National Forest home to the Ozark Folk Center,  Blanchard Springs Caverns, and the prestigious White River, and is popular with anglers because of its excellence for trout fishing.

This small town also is known for its historical homes, antique shops, restaurants, and music stores. Mountain View is named the "Folk Music Capital of the World," for a reason.
