Man Gets 60 Years for Murder of 5-Year-Old in Lee County, Arkansas
One down and one to go in Lee County, Arkansas, Nathan Bridges, 34, has been sentenced to 60 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to First-Degree Murder and First-Degree Battery in connection with the 2022 death of a 5-year-old boy in Moro.
This past Monday, July 15, 2024, Nathan Bridges admitted to his role in the tragic death of Blu Rolland, whose body was found on December 16, 2022, beneath the floor of his family's home. The discovery was made on what would have been Blu's 6th birthday. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office sought help from the Arkansas State Police’s (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division for the case.
Investigations by ASP Special Agents also revealed injuries to a 6-year-old girl living in the same home.
Bridges and Ashley Rolland, 30, who is the children's mother, were arrested by ASP and taken to the Lee County Detention Center.
Ashley Rolland faces multiple felony charges, including Capital Murder, Permitting Child Abuse, Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Battery. Her trial is pending in Lee County.
The community remains shocked and saddened by the events, with local authorities emphasizing their commitment to seeking justice for the young victims.
