Texarkana Free Tree Giveaway is This Saturday March 3

Get ready for the free tree giveaway. It's the 10th Annual Arbor Day tree giveaway in Texarkana and it's happening this weekend.

This tree giveaway is always a popular event in Texarkana and if you are late you will miss out.

This event is presented by a lot of great organizations in our area, The City of Texarkana Texas, Texas A&M Forest Service, Keep Texarkana Beautiful, Bowie County Master Gardeners, Master Gardeners of Miller County and Arkansas Partnership for the Pathway.

According to the Keep Texarkana Beautiful Facebook page, the trees that will be given out were picked by a certified arborist to make sure that these trees will thrive in the Texarkana climate.

What Types of Trees Will Be Given Away?

There will be volunteers handing out over 1,000 bare-root seedlings during this event. that will include Cherrybark Oak, Bald Cypress, Overcup Oak, Water Oak and Swamp White Oak. There will also be information available on how to plant and care for these trees at the event and on the City of Texarkana, Texas website.

When is the Annual Tree Giveaway in Texarkana and Where?

The 10th Annual Arbor Day tree giveaway will take place this Saturday, March 2. It will be at Spring Lake Park across from the Rotary Splash Pad. It will take place from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM (or until all bare root seedlings have been given away. The line will be formed by entering through the Mall Drive entrance.

This Will Be a Drive-Thru Event

This will be a drive-thru event. You are asked to stay in your vehicle while the volunteers bring the seedlings to each person.
