Arkansas Attraction 2nd Most Stunning Botanical Garden in U.S.
Let me begin by saying Happy New Year! 2024 is officially here and as many of you begin to seek out new places and destinations in the state of Arkansas to explore this year, I have one location that is a must-see to believe.
Blue Spring Heritage Center
Blue Spring Heritage Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas has been named the 2nd Most Stunning Botanical Garden in America with over 77.35 percent of reviews from Tripadvisor. This rich cultural experience honors the Cherokee people during the Trail of Tears, encouraging visitors to connect with the beautiful native gardens.
The Blue Spring pours 38 million gallons of crystal-clear water every day, providing a true spectacle in its trout-filled lagoon that flows into the prestigious White River.
It was believed that the waters had healing powers and were considered sacred grounds to the different American Indian tribes. You can even feed the fish too at Blue Springs.
Blue Spring Historic Bluff Shelter
While on your visit you can tour the Blue Spring Historic Bluff Shelter now on the National Register of Historic Places which showcases the natural historical Ozark region and civilizations that called this home for centuries dating back to the prehistoric period.
As you roam the grounds there is evidence of an Old Mill that was once powered by the spring including what looks like the remains of a community right in the middle of the water.
This area is surrounded by a variety of plants and flowers that have visitors coming here for years and for the record in 1993, 33 acres were transformed into the Eureka Springs Gardens.
It wasn't until 2003, that the land and the gardens were blended to create the Eureka Springs Gardens.
Wedding Venue
Blue Spring Heritage Center also offers the perfect backdrop and settings for a picture-perfect wedding.
Visitors to the center will be taken back in time with old photos, artifacts, and a historical film that will explain the beauty of the area and walkways through the natural habitat.
Arkansas is considered the Natural state and Blue Spring Heritage Center is a perfect example of that saying.
Blue Spring Heritage Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas is located at 1537 Co Rd 210.
