Hook, Line, & Sinker: Free Fishing Across Arkansas June 6-8
If you have wanted to go fishing but you don't have a license or maybe you want to see what fishing is all about and see if you even like fishing, this weekend is your chance to check it out in Arkansas.
This great weekend of free fishing is due to a proclamation by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The weekend takes place every June and is sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. This is a special weekend for both residents and visitors to fish without a license or a trout stamp. Please remember, though, that all other rules still apply, like daily limits and size regulations.

The Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend begins at noon on Friday, June 6 to 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 8, and you are good to go without a license! This is a great opportunity to take kids out and introduce them to the world of fishing.
Shea Lewis, the secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, said in a press release,
Whether casting a line from the shore of a tranquil lake or wading through a babbling stream, Arkansas offers endless possibilities for unforgettable fishing adventures.
