The University of Arkansas at Texarkana along with the Texarkana Arkansas School District will host a public informational meeting on Thursday, March 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the U of A Texarkana Campus Center Lobby located at 3501 U of A Way, Texarkana, Arkansas. The meeting is for parents and guardians who have students interested in attending the Arkansas High School Collegiate Academy. The purpose of the meeting is to inform parents/guardians about the Collegiate Academy requirements, expectations, and the process of application for students entering the 10th or 11th grades next school year.
The Arkansas High School Collegiate Academy is a partnership between the Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. The goal of the academy is to provide students with a two or three-year curriculum that allows them the opportunity to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously.

According to the Press Release, students who will be entering the 10th or 11th grades can apply for the program now through May 1, 2019. Students must be enrolled or be eligible to become enrolled as a TASD Public School student and meet the collegiate academy entrance requirements to attend. The academy is a public school that is free of charge and is located on the University of Arkansas Texarkana campus.
