Whether you use the internet occasionally or use it every day for hours, this could quickly put a wrench your plans. Can you imagine? What if you work from home? What if your kids use the internet for homework? The Internet has become a basic necessity for nearly all Americans.
Why Will So Many People Lose Internet Next Month in Arkansas?
Next week there will be 210,727 homes in Arkansas that will lose their internet because the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will expire at the end of April.
Who Does The ACP Help?
The ACP is helping over 23 million Americans receive internet access. This includes our seniors, our veterans and low-income families.
According to Whistleout.com,
If the program ends, surveys show that 77% of the people using the ACP will be forced to change their current internet plan or cancel their service entirely.
In Texas, the number of households set to lose internet is over 1 million.
If you are currently on the ACP plan you might qualify for other government plans like Lifeline from the FCC
Or you may have to shop around for the lowest price on internet service in your area, you can find out more about that at Whistleout.com.
