Babaz Kitchens celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, September 6, 2025, located inside Walmart in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Babaz Kitchens opened earlier this year, but this was the first time for them to celebrate their grand opening. The first 100 customers received a food voucher for 50% off their food purchase. Melvina the Clown greeted families with his artistic balloon art to life bringing smiles to kids' faces.

Townsquare Media gave listeners the chance to win tickets to Taste of Texarkana and to see country artist Ashley McBride.

I had the opportunity to meet a first-time customer, Gary, who ordered their signature Shawarma platter, which is a popular Middle Eastern street food. Gary told me it was delicious, and he is planning on coming back to bring his wife and grandkids.

Local Dignitaries Welcome the Babaz Kitchens to Texarkana

Ulysses Brewer, the Director of Ward 4 for the City of Texarkana, Arkansas, was there too, and he tried the lamb wrap, which he described as very good. Brewer was there to welcome the management team to Texarkana and thank them for becoming a part of the community.

"I would like to thank the owners and management team for considering Texarkana. It's always exciting to see a new retail food chain in the area, "  said Brewer.

This innovative dining experience offers a diverse menu that caters to various tastes, featuring freshly made dishes daily. Customers can enjoy a multitude of options from comfort food like the popular MrBeast burger or Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, which I had and was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

They also have chicken wraps, Greek gyros, shawarma wraps, and salads. And for dessert, you have to try a slice of Cheese Cake Factory pie. All the food is exceptional, including their full breakfast menu items available all day.

Aside from the Texarkana location, Babaz Kitchens operates four other locations in Arkansas Walmart stores in Bryant, Fort Smith, Russellville, and Siloam Springs.
