
Backpacks For Students Show Community Spirit In Texarkana
The Texarkana, Arkansas, School District received a generous donation of 250 backpacks from Farmers Bank and Trust and the Texarkana Regional Airport for the 2025-2026 school season.

This donation will help students start the school year prepared and ready to succeed. The TASD will distribute the backpacks to students who need them the most and to help alleviate financial burdens for families.
According to a press release, this will give students the tools needed to succeed in the classroom on day one.
"Texarkana Regional Airport is proud to call this region our home, and we want to help our community’s children start the school year ready for takeoff," said Paul Mehrlich, Airport Director. "By partnering with Farmers Bank to provide backpacks, we’re making sure students have what they need to soar through the year."
