Down A Bit – Bowie County Weekly Crime Report – 105 Total Arrests

Last week's arrests still topped 100+, but at least the total came down somewhat. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Office arrested 36 people in Texarkana and the surrounding county, while other agencies brought in an additional 69 people in the third week of  April.

Assault / Family Violence Incidents

• Deputies responded to 6 assault-related cases, including 4 family violence incidents. Arrests were made in several cases, with charges ranging from assault causing bodily injury to repeat family violence offenses.

Theft / Burglary / Property Crimes

A total of 6 property-related offenses were reported:

• Theft cases included stolen cash ($750) and an electric utility meter
• A burglary of a building resulted in the theft of two Poulan Pro chainsaws
• Criminal mischief and graffiti incidents were also reported
• One unauthorized use of a vehicle case involved a stolen 2007 Ford F-150

Drug-Related Offenses

Deputies made multiple arrests tied to narcotics, including:

• 4 counts of possession of a controlled substance in one case
• Additional jail sanctions and probation violations tied to drug offenses
