Bowie County Reports 96 Total Arrests in Weekly Sheriff’s Activity

Arrests across the county dipped just a bit last week, with 96 total arrests around Bowie County for the week ending on May 10. Your Bowie County Sheriff's Office arrested 38 people in Texarkana and the surrounding county, while other agencies arrested an additional 58 individuals.

Activity Summary

Assaults and Violent Crimes Reported

• 3 assault-related cases
• 2 robberies, including one aggravated robbery
• 1 deadly conduct case involving a firearm
• 1 reported sexual assault of a child
• 1 interference with child custody case

One aggravated robbery arrest was reported Friday on South State Line Avenue in Texarkana. Another robbery involving a stolen cell phone was reported on Tomahawk Road.

Burglaries and Thefts Investigated

• 2 burglaries of buildings
• 4 theft cases
• 2 criminal mischief reports
• 1 illegal dumping complaint

Items reported stolen included medical supplies, rims and tires, tobacco products, collectible toys, video game cartridges, scrap metal and a utility trailer.

Drug and Jail-Related Offenses

• 3 prohibited substances or item in a correctional facility cases
• Multiple possession of controlled substances violations
• Several jail sanctions connected to drug offenses

A methamphetamine possession case was reported on Friday on South State Line Avenue in Texarkana.
