Check Out These Great Events in Texarkana & Beyond This Weekend

It's the weekend and it's going to be a hot one. The forecast calls for highs on Saturday and Sunday in the upper 90s, but that won't stop the great events in Texarkana.

Be sure to check out these events this weekend June 14 and 15.

Downtown Live

Main Street Texarkana

Downtown Live takes place on the second Friday of the month from 6 PM to 9 PM in downtown Texarkana. Shops and galleries will stay open later too. There will be artists performing all around downtown. Plus this month there will be free tours of the Lofts at the Grim. Water Safety and Summer Fun

Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation

Signature Care Emergency Center presents Water Safety and Summer Fun from 10 AM to noon on Saturday morning at the Rotary Splash Pad in Spring Lake Park. There will be food and prizes too. You can get more details at Signature Care's Facebook page.

Local Artist & Cosplayers at Special Book Signing Event

Enjoy an evening Saturday evening with local artist Wild West as he celebrates and signs both his adult coloring books. Also, appearing and hosting the evening are local Cosplay Master, Midnight Chaos Cosplay and Scare Actor Rum Dum the Clown. This will be a fun night to meet all the artists and get their photos and other merchandise. The event is from 5 PM to 7 PM at Bookhound Haven bookstore. 24th Testicle Festival in Forman

If you're looking for a quirky festival this will not disappoint. Gilley's Place in Foreman will kick off the festival this Saturday. Yes, people come here to indulge in fried bull testicles also known as Rocky Mountain Oysters. It is good to point out that there will be other things to eat and live music too. Both Farmers' Markets Open on Saturday Morning
