Children Believe What They Are Told, Choose Your Words Carefully [VIDEO]

We all know that children have impressionable minds. This ad from Ireland really brings it home. What you say to a child can have lasting effects both good and bad. This video shows the bad.

When I watched this video, I couldn't help but cry. First let me say...I don't have kids. I can imagine they are stressful at times. Probably, most of the time. It's easy to lose your temper.

Remember the old saying "Sticks and stone can break my bones, but words will never hurt me."?  Sure, a great thing to say to bullies on the playground, but a parent to a child? Words can cut like a knife. Words from a parent can feel like a strong punch in the face or to the arm and that's just plain wrong.

(Just a warning the child in this video does say the B word) 

Just remember, what you say can really, really hurt a child to the very core of his or her  precious soul. Who would want to do that?
