You wanna have some fun and watch some folks get fired up fast? When it's cold outside, simply bring up chili in a crowded room. It is, after all, the perfect cold-weather food. Then, you toss in the sticky question of beans or no beans... that's when the fireworks can get a little blown out of proportion.

The Question went out on Facebook?

So, on Monday, January 26, when everything was shut down during the worst ice storm we've seen since 2000, we went there and hung it out on Facebook:

Chili with beans or no beans — let’s settle this 👀

The responses started slowly, but gained momentum as the day went along

Good either way as long as it's got some kick!

As for me:

I like my chili both ways, but my wife makes it with beans, and it is by far the best chili I've ever stuffed in my face. But hey, you do you...

Some are dead set against it...

Paul said:

Real chili does Not have beans!

Lindy, Nancy, and Patti all said:

No beans!

Joyce added:

No beans. Just add cheese and sour cream before you eat it.

Some are all about it...

Lisa C. said:

I like beans in mine.

Cynthia made it more personal:

Personally, I like beans.

Mike explains the difference, according to... Mike:

Chilli has beans. If you make anything else? That's called Manwich.

Mindy, she's pretty adamant:

Definitely WITH beans!!!

Amanda had the mic-drop moment:

If beans didnt belong then why do we call them CHILI BEANS?

The shocker? A good number agree with me and Lisa, liking it both beaned and unbeaned, but that wasn't the winner.
