Winter weather finally made its grand entrance in Texarkana this week with the 2026 Winter Storm Fern, bringing sleet and freezing rain along for the ride. With all the icy conditions, we decided to ask our listeners a very important question: Would you rather deal with ice-cold winter weather or 100+ degree summer days?

Hot or Cold, There Is No In-Between

If you love winter, this week has probably felt like a dream come true. If you’re a summer fan… well, we’re guessing it’s been pure torture. Personally, I’m officially over winter. Let’s fast-forward to sunshine, flip-flops, and triple-digit heat.

Man, I love me some summertime! Boating at the lake, trips to the beach with family… it doesn’t get any better than that!

Cold-Weather Fans Had Their Say Too

Kerry Yates said,

I’d rather be cold than hot anyway. You can always put more clothes on, but you can only take so much off before it becomes obscene. JS.

Joseph Bridges said,

I am LOVING this weather. I get outside a lot more when it’s below freezing than I do when it’s above 90. Blame it on my several near-death heat-related incidents.
