A Hands-On Look at Law Enforcement in The Texarkana Citizens Police Academy

This is a wonderful event. My husband and I had the opportunity to take the 8-week class years ago and I highly recommend it. The academy gives you an inside look at how each division of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department works. You will also work mock crime scenes, uncover evidence, and take part in scenario-based encounters where your decisions will shape the outcome.

You will also gain insight into traffic stops, special operations, and even hostage rescue situations, where you will receive a better understanding of all the training and decision-making our police officers in Texarkana use every day.

When Does the Texarkana Citizens Police Academy Begin and How to Register

The academy is an 8-week program that meets every Tuesday at 5:30 PM, starting on February 3. The program is free, but space is limited.
Be sure to register early! You can register by emailing Lt. Rick Cockrell at Rick.cockrell@txkusa.org.

This program is a great way for residents to connect with local officers, ask questions, and gain a deeper appreciation for the work being done to keep Texarkana safe. I cannot recommend this program enough, and I am positive you will enjoy it too!
