Country Stars Reveal Their New Year’s Resolutions

Well, 2012 is almost here and like many people it's time to reflect on 2011 and vow to make 2012 better. Many people make resolutions each year but many fail to follow through with them. However, we caught up with a few of your favorite country stars who revealed what their expectations are for the New Year.Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood says the group hopes to better balance work and personal life in 2012, as Hillary Scott prepares to marry musician Chris Tyrell, and Dave plans a wedding to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola. Miranda Lambert tells the AP she’d like to “write a song that [gets] nominated for Song of the Year.” Her husband, Blake Shelton, says he hopes to see the two singers he coached on the last season of The Voice “take off and do well” in 2012.

Taylor Swift says her New Year’s resolution is to “do things a little differently” in 2012. Taylor says she will “try to maintain a balance” between giving fans what they want and writing her own songs. But, she tells the Associated Press that she’d “love to make collaborations in different directions that aren’t exactly expected.” Taylor’s currently in the studio working on a new album, expected out next year.
