Cozy Farmhouse Cottage in Arkansas Offers Spectacular Views

With the rising cost of gasoline, more folks are looking at ways on how to cut their cost for the upcoming Spring season. One of those ways is to stay closer to home when taking a vacation or weekend getaway.

Stonehill Cottages in Mena, Arkansas is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Ouachita National Forest. When you talk about wanting to get away and just relax these affordable cottages are just the place to do that. Stonehill Cottages has been on my bucket list for quite some time now.

There are 5 different cottages to choose from on the 240+ acre property that includes an 11-acre spring-fed mountain lake that guests can enjoy when visiting these cottages

You can fish, swim, or kayak and there’s even a creek, plus a swimming hole at Bethesda Creek. If you have an ATV bring it with you and you can ride the Wolf Pen Gap trail just minutes away.  You can also rent one from several rental companies in the area and they will deliver it to your cabin.

 Primrose Cottage

The Primrose Cottage is the newest and largest Airbnb farmhouse cottage and features one of 3 King Bedrooms, a Queen sleeper sofa, an inflatable bed for more room.

 Three Full Baths

The Primrose has 3 full baths with a romantic tub for that special celebration.

Primrose Kitchen

The kitchen has that retro feel and comes stocked with cooking utensils and more.

The Living Area

There is plenty of space to stretch out and get a spectacular view from the large windows.

Wrap Around Porch

Head outdoors and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on the wrap-around porch while sitting in one of the rocking chairs overlooking the valley and the mountainside.

Watching a sunset can be very delightful. Talk about a little piece of heaven!

There is even a fire pit for those cool nights, perfect for making S’mores, and an outdoor grill for those cookouts with family or friends.
