Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies Arrest 100+ Last Week

Checking out the arrest numbers from week #3 of February in Bowie County, and things did not get better, bigger, yes, better, no, as we are back above 3 digits for last week in the county.

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office reports a total of 93 arrests in the county last week, responding to a wide range of calls, as usual, including assaults, burglary cases, thefts, drug arrests, and numerous warrant services.

Assault & Family Violence

Deputies responded to 6 assault-related cases, including multiple incidents of Assault Causing Bodily Injury and several involving family violence. One case involved Terroristic Threats (Family Violence). These incidents were reported in Texarkana and Maud.

Burglary, Theft & Property Crimes

Property crimes accounted for a significant portion of activity:

1 Burglary of a Habitation (with intent to commit assault)
1 Burglary of a Building (tools and collector cards reported stolen)
2 Residential Fires (Maud and New Boston)
2 Criminal Mischief cases (including one over $750)
1 Theft (trailer hitch)
1 Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (1998 Chevrolet S10 reported stolen in Hooks)

Drug-Related Offenses

Deputies made 3 methamphetamine-related arrests, including cases involving possession of more than one gram but less than four grams. Several arrests were connected to probation violations tied to prior controlled substance charges.

Fraud & Financial Crimes

There were 2 reports of Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information during the week.

Warrant Activity

Warrant service remained the largest category of enforcement activity, with more than 25 arrests made on charges ranging from traffic violations and probation violations to organized criminal activity, assault on a public servant, indecency with a child, and bond forfeitures.
