If you're wanting that fun music festival atmosphere but don't want to travel a couple states over then don't! The first Crystal Music Festival will be late July in Board Camp, Arkansas!

The Crystal Music Festival will be a two-weekend festival with two different headliners each weekend. It will be held at the Board Camp Campground and Crystal Mine in Board Camp, Arkansas (which is located between Mena and Mt. Ida). The first festival weekend kicks off July 19 - 21 with headlining band Diamond Rio playing Saturday, July 20th at 8 p.m. There will be a variety of vendors so that you can enjoy great music and great food.

The following festival weekend will take place July 26 - 28 and will feature The Marshall Tucker Band as the headlining act. As with the first weekend, The Marshall Tucker Band will perform on Saturday, July 27 at 8 p.m.

These will be outdoor events so grab your towels, blankets and lawn chairs and head out to Board Camp, Arkansas to enjoy a fun weekend or two with family and friends. If you're more of a country/bluegrass person then I recommend the first festival weekend, but if you prefer a country/rock sound then hit up the festival on the second weekend!

You can purchase either a three day admission pass or a one day pass for different prices, and children six and under get in free! If you decide to purchase the three day pass then three days and two nights of tent camping are included in your ticket package. It is strongly recommended that you carpool if camping.

So what if you're not all that into the music but end up going with family or friends? Well you can just do some mine digging while you're there. The Board Camp Crystal Mine will be open both festival weekends for guests to enjoy! It's $10 minimum bucket fee and it is recommended that you bring your own hand shovels. Oh and if you do dig up some large crystals worth a whole lot, just go ahead and send them all to me please.
