It's a Great Day to be Alive and it's a great day to be a Travis Tritt fan because he is coming to Texarkana.

Travis Tritt is coming to the Perot Theatre in July and it is going to be a great show. Travis came onto the country music scene in 1990 with the song Country Club and followed with more chart-topping songs through the 1990s. He was dubbed as one of The “The Class of ‘89,” which also included other big country artists like Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson.

The Georgia native was an instant hit with his Southern rock-influenced songwriting and music. Other great songs of Tritt's debut album included Help Me Hold On, I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” and Drift Off to Dream peaking on the charts at numbers two and three on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. This success led him to win the Top New Male Artist award from Billboard and the CMA Horizon Award which is now called 'Best New Artist Award'.

Back in 2018, Tritt was on the music showcase series, Real Country. Also on the show were Shania Twain and Jake Owen, as they hand-selected promising artists, duos and groups to perform in showcases. The show aired on USA Network.

Travis Tritt will perform at the Perot Theatre in downtown Texarkana on Sunday, July 16. Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 8 at 10 AM at the Perot Theatre Box Office and online at PerotTheatre.org
