Drive the ‘Wildflower Trails of Texas’ Then Enjoy The Festival in Linden
It's the perfect time of year to see the beautiful wildflowers of Texas. Take a drive on the Wildflower Trails of Texas then check out the fun at the 51st Annual Wildflower Trails of Texas Festival in Linden.
The actual Wildflower Trails of Texas to drive is on Highways 49, 155, and 11 between Avinger, Hughes Springs, and Linden. Their site says that the last weekend of April is the best time to check out this trail to see the most wildflowers blooming in the fields.
The Wildflower Trails of Texas Festival will take place Friday, April 23 thru Sunday, April 25. There will be a lot of great live music all weekend. Friday night at 8PM the White Trash Wannabees will take the stage.
Saturday's schedule is full starting at 8:30AM for the Wildflower Trails of Texas 5k. At 9AM the Car Show begins. There is a Quilt Show and an Art Show that start at 9AM too. Then get ready for the Wildflower Watch Scavenger Hunt at 9:30AM. At 10AM you can try your hand at the Horseshoe Tournament. Of course, there will be great festival food to enjoy and you can browse the arts and crafts booths for that perfect find.
Live music starts at 11AM with Yogoman and Bongo Jac. There will be a parade at 2 and Heather Lynn and the Decons will perform at 8AM.
The 51st Annual Wildflower Trails of Texas will be at 227 East Rush Street in Linden, Texas.
