If you love to fish, here is some great news especially for East Texas. With all the rain we have had and still having it means a great season for is ahead for white bass fishing.

That is the prediction from the biologists at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) biologists say and they should know they are the experts when it comes to knowing about good fishing conditions.

Where in East Texas Can You Get Prime Fishing for White Bass?

According to the TPWD, swim upstream in the spring into Texas rivers and creeks to spawn. You can catch white bass by boat or river bank. In East Texas, the best place to be will be fishing in the Sabine River above Toledo Bend reservoir.  Reports are showing that the females started swimming up that river in mid-January. You can find public access at Grand Bluff Boat Ramp. You will ultimately want to get to the Black Shoals fishing hole.

Another Great Spot to Fish For While Bass in East Texas

Another fishing spot the TPWD is suggesting is the Neches River and Kickapoo Creek North of Lake Palestine. Even more precise is the recommendation to stay on Highway 31 where you can get to Chambers Creek. You can get public access at Chandler River Park.

Other good places to check out are East Fork of the Trinity River close to Lake Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard off State Highway 78.

How Many White Bass Can I Catch a Day in Texas?
