It's chili season, and chili just tastes better when it's made for a great cause. If you make great chili or if you just love eating chili then don't miss the Texarkana Area Veterans Council's 23rd Annual Chili Cook-off.

It all takes place on Friday, February 17 at the Truman Arnold Center at Texarkana College.
Trophies Will Be
Trophies for Winners in These Categories
There will be three categories judged for trophies, business, civic groups and individual. Then the public will decide on who wins the People's Choice Award and the Best Presentation Award.
Chili Cook-Off Benefiting Texarkana Area Veterans
This event is a fundraiser to help purchase a new dav van to help transport local veterans to the VA medical center in Shreveport. the money raised will also help in assisting local veterans and their families.
The public is invited to the event so bring the family to enjoy samples of all the chili for $8. Doors for the taste testing will open at 11 AM and tasting will continue until 1. Plus there will be door prizes.
