Texarkana Named One of The ‘Most Welcoming Places’ in America
Texarkana is movin' up in the world with this great news. Texarkana made the MakeMyMove list as one of America's Most Welcoming Places of 2024.
This title from MakeMyMove is a national platform that puts remote workers in touch with towns that offer relocation incentives.
The hard work by AR-TX-REDI, the City of Texarkana Texas and the Patterson Troike Foundation, the relocation program is paying off. Since its launch, there have already been over 6,800 applications interested in our city. People from all over the county are looking at moving here from Florida, to Pennsylvania to California to Georgia and to Maryland, to Louisiana. That is something to be proud of!
One of the best things about Texarkana is that it is truly in Twice as Nice with great options for people to take advantage of whether it's on the Texas side for no state income tax to the Arkansas side with its lower cost of living. The Redi Set Move program also encourages new residents to strive for more education. We also have wonderful higher education options as well with Texas A&M University-Texarkana, University of Arkansas at Hope-Texarkana and Texarkana College.

Not only does Texarkana have a lot to offer these newcomers to the area, but they also receive support to thrive in our town. AR-TX-REDI's President and SEO Rob Sitterley, said in a press release,
One of our movers lost his remote job shortly after arriving. Instead of leaving, we connected him with a new local employer within days. That’s what this program is about—creating real opportunity and community.
Now that says community more than anything! We already knew Texarkana is a welcoming community, and now the rest of the country knows too!
