Meet Your Favorite Characters at Arkansas PBS’s Annual Family Fun Day

This is a great event for the family. Arkansas PBS is rolling out the red carpet for families once again with its annual Family Day in Conway, not far from Texarkana. This is a free community event that will be held Saturday, September 27, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Arkansas PBS headquarters.

Theme: “K for Kindness”

This year’s theme is all about kindness, mixed in with plenty of fun, learning, and hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Children will have the chance to meet their favorite PBS KIDS characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, and Daniel Tiger, enjoy free healthy snacks, make crafts, play games, enjoy story time and make friends.

Activities for the Whole Family

Plus, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be there with their mobile aquarium. Other partners that will be there include the Conway Symphony Orchestra, Faulkner County Library, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Funk Fusion Dance, Girls on the Run, Therapy Monkey, and more. Kids can check out a firetruck and police cruiser, enjoy face painting, bubble fun, and sidewalk chalk art.

Food and Fun

Bring your appetite too. Local food trucks like Fry Fry Crazy, Millie’s Fish & Shrimp, and Las Delicias will be there with great food for purchase.
