Get ready Texarkana! Country singer-songwriter Frank Foster will be performing this Saturday night downtown in the entertainment district at Crossties.

Frank has been traveling the countryside with his new "Star-Spangled Bangers Tour" on the heels of a new album, Star-Spangled Bangers. Foster who does his own songwriting is really looking forward to introducing the FF Nation to several tracks from the album including one called "Red, White, Black and Blue," in which he says the song tells three different stories that are all true.

Here's the video.

Another cut we talked about in an interview yesterday was a track called "More Than Luckenbach," which he said makes reference to just about every Willie and Waylon song out there. I thought for a minute he was going to say he wrote the song with Willie because if he did there would be more than drinking going on, I'm pretty sure.

Foster broke into the music scene in 2011 with his first album, Rowdy Reputation, and hasn't looked back as he brings his own brand of down-home straight-up country music to a large fan base the FF Nation.

The thing I admire the most about Frank is that he stays humble and true to his music, never strays too far away from his South Louisiana roots. He's doing music his way and not what a record company thinks he should do.
