Southern Arkansas University is hosting a Game Development Summer Camp July 16-19, which will allow participants to learn about game development and design with hands-on activities in programming, design, and art in an overnight camp setting.


According to the Press Release, all applications must be submitted online by July 2. It is open to students in grades 10-12, and there is a fee of $325 per participant.

Curriculum will include an introduction to basic coding, game tools and mechanics; awards in design and programming, and after-hours activities including video game tournaments, virtual reality and board games.

Participants are asked to bring a pillow, sheets and blankets, towels, soap and other toiletries, an alarm clock, money for sodas and video games, and a notebook and pen.
