The stage has been set and the only thing left to do is bring in the band at Sparks in the Park. That band being a local favorite, the Dusty Rose Band.

I caught up with the band and spoke with lead vocalist Jason Springer on playing Sparks in the Park. "We're really excited about being able to perform at Sparks in the Park again this year." said, Springer. "The reason why, Texarkana is our home, these are our people, we play everywhere, we go to a lot of places these days but when we play here, it's home."

"That's why we like to do these shows, where everyone can bring their kids and have a great time."

Jason spoke to me about some original tunes he has written and one the band hasn't even heard yet "Country Life." He said the fans are loving a new song he wrote, "Honky Tonk" and I didn't have to twist his arm too much for him to play for me in the Kicker studios.

Here's the exclusive video. Watch what happens at the end of the video!

I've come to learn when it comes to the Dusty Rose Band, it's about the fans first, patriotism, hard working people, and the American flag.
