If you have never been to The Ace of Clubs House it is a historic treasure to Texarkana. It was built in 1885 with a unique floor plan of three octagonal rooms at one end and a long rectangular room at the other. From above it looks like the Ace of Clubs card. The money to build the house was supposedly won in a card game, or so the story goes. The house was left it to the Texarkana Museums System in 1985. You can tour The Ace of Clubs House Tuesday through Sunday. There are usually special events planned at the house like workshops, lectures, and other activities on the third Saturday of each month.
