Gigantic 250-Pound Red Ball About to Roll Into Arkansas
A huge 250-pound red ball will take over Northwest Arkansas beginning in September.

You may be asking what is the purpose of the big red ball? According to Creative Arkansas Community Hub and Exchange, the giant red ball is the longest-running street art that has been making its journey all over the world since 2001 when it began in St. Louis, Missouri.
It's called the Red Ball Project, the ball weighs approximately 250 pounds and is an inflatable ball that will roll its way into Bentonville, Arkansas on September 11, 2024.
Since it is considered a work of art there is no telling where it might show up, it could be wedged into a city's architectural structure or even in some pedestrian walkway or space, according to a report from 5NEWS.
This work of art was created by artist Kurt Perscke and the meaning behind the big red ball is simple, the red ball symbolizes a playful and charismatic nature that stirs the imagination and wonderment that is in each one of us through a form of art.
The RedBall Project has popped up in cities worldwide such as France, England, Canada, and many others.
Now Northwest Arkansas will get a chance to see this magnificent work of art at the following locations.

Sept. 13 - 11 AM - 6 PM Siloam Springs

You may be thinking it's just a giant red ball, but when you think about it's kinda cool. If nothing else it would make for some amazing fun photos just don't be climbing any buildings.
