Standing tall at an elevation of 2, 753 above sea level, Signal Hill is the highest point in Arkansas and when you reach the peak there is even a 400 square feet stone map of Arkansas that makes a great photo op.
Reaching the top of this mountain allows the hiker breathtaking views of the river valley below taking in the beauty of rolling hills amongst the tall trees and bluffs of the forested region.
The well-maintained trail connects Cameron Bluff Campground with the Mossback Ridge Trail and the spectacular Lodge at Mount Magazine that resembles a ski lodge in Colorado. Besides the lodge, there are 13 cabins and a beautiful restaurant overlooking the valley.
The sunrise and sunset are amazing from the balcony at the lodge.
Besides hiking there is plenty to do for those seeking an adrenaline rush visitors can enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, or hang gliding off the top of the mountain at Mount Magazine State Park.
