This coming Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 is National Sandwich Day and your neighborhood Subway will be going global nationwide for the first time ever with World Sandwich Day. You can purchase any sandwich and a 30 oz. drink and get a free sandwich of equal or lesser value, plus Subway will donate a meal to Feeding America.

More than 40,000 Subway restaurants worldwide are celebrating World Sandwich Day and inviting customers to join the "Live Feed," a special offer to help fight hunger. Meals secured by Feeding America are distributed by local member food banks. Feeding America is the nation's largest hunger-relief organization and last year, with the help of their customers, Subway donated 11 million meals to Feeding America.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 1 in 8 people struggle with hunger in the U.S. That means 41 million people across the country, including nearly 13 million children and more than 5 million seniors, don’t have enough to eat. Subway’s donation to Feeding America will benefit millions of Americans facing hunger and seeking help from Feeding America’s network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs.

Subway will track the number of donations to Feeding America on World Sandwich Day via the “Live Feed” offer on SubwayLiveFeed.com.

For each sub and 30 oz. drink purchased together, Subway will donate the monetary equivalent of a meal ($0.09) to Feeding America.

Subway is proud to once again join forces with Feeding America to help feed families around the country and in our local communities.

Kicker 102.5 will be on location at 5602 Richmond Road, Suite 102 from 11-1PM. Please stop by to help celebrate World Sandwich Day this Friday.
