The Texarkana Twins are excited to announce the addition of two outfielders, Hudson Hopkins from Louisiana Tech and Garrett Hastings from the University of Kentucky.
According to the Press Release, Hudson Hopkins is a Junior outfielder for Louisiana Tech, who comes to the Bulldogs after a strong career at Seminole State College. While at Seminole State, Hopkins hit .372 with 15 home runs and 51 RBIs as a sophomore. Hopkins also had an outstanding high school career at Pleasant Grove High School, where during his four years, he won a Texas state championship in 2012 and was named First Team All-District and First Team All-State.

Garrett Hastings is a Freshman outfielder for the University of Kentucky. Even though he is spending the 2018 season redshirting, coaches rave his speed and defensive skills combined with his effectiveness as a left-handed hitter. During his high school career at F.W. Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, Hastings was a two-time All-Area honoree and a 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All American.
