Geek’d Con Welcomes Historic Star Wars Actress Christine Galey To The 2025 Lineup

There have been some changes to the lineup for Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con. Changes to the celebrity lineups are normal for these type of events, so this isn't a huge deal. But it does change some of the planning for fans.

What Changes Were Made To The Geek'd Con 2025 Lineup?

This week, two of the stars from the original Mortal Kombat movie, Chris Casamassa and Keith Cooke, had to drop out of the show. The have other professional obligations that they can't avoid.

So stepping up to fill in is a HISTORIC Star Wars actress.

History maker Christine Galey will be joining the party for Geek'd Con in Shreveport.

Who Did Christine Galey Play in Star Wars?

Christine has appeared in multiple Star Wars properties, playing a few different roles. Including playing a R5-D4 (Tripod Droid) and the fan-favorite Astronaut from The Mandalorian.

What Historic Moment Did Christine Create With Star Wars?

During her work on The Book of Boba Fett, Christine made history as she became the first female to play the iconic role of R2-D2. A performance that has been highlighted by writers as a better version of R2 than some of the films have provided.

What Other Celebrities Are Coming To Geek'd Con 2025?

You can meet award winning actor Jason Lee, along with his Mallrats costars Ethan Suplee and Jeremy London. Terrifier stars David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi will also be appearing.

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.

What Will Be Happening At Geek'd Con 2025?

You can expect to shop from over 200 vendor spaces, on two floors, filled with comic book retailers, handmade crafts, shirts, collectibles, trading cards, vintage toys, artwork, and much more. Vendors from all over the US, and right here in Shreveport-Bossier, will be on-hand all weekend for fans to buy, sell, and trade.
