Good Wednesday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

The Texas Rangers are investigating a deadly home fire that left a mother and her two children dead this morning in Bowie County Texa. Sheriff James Prince says the 34 year old and children 11 and 8 died in the predawn blaze that completely destroyed the home.

Prince says someone inside the home phoned the childrens grandparents who then dialed 911. The 11 year old was pulled from the burning home but later died as did her mother and sibling. The cause of the blaze is not being speculated about and the names are being withheld pending notification of all the next of kin.

City leaders and citizens are coming together today for the 3rd Annual Peace Officers Memorial Day and Appreciation Ceremony. The event was to start at 11am at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center & John Thoma Theatre on the campus of Texas High School on Summerhill Road.

Following the peace officers Memorial Day presentations, guests were invited to attend a flag raising ceremony and Dedication of the Texarkana Police Special Operations and Training Center ( former Army National Guard Building) at 1420 South Park Road with a reception to follow and tours of the facility until 2pm. The events are free and the public was invited to attend.

Severe Weather which has been absent from the area for about a week may be ready to move back in on Thursday. The National Weather Service says strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are possible across the area for tommorrow afternoon and evening as a fairly strong cold front moves into the area. High temperatures today will be in the Mid to Upper 80s but will cool down to the low to mid 70's by the weekend into the first part of next week.
