James Cromwell Books Next TV Gig on NBC’s ‘Do No Harm’
For months now we've seen veteran actor James Cromwell pop up in the most unusual of places, first taking a regular, bald and goateed role as sinister Nazi Dr. Arden of 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' and even unexpectedly popping up on the third season of 'Boardwalk Empire' as historical figure Andrew Mellon. Now, Cromwell will next take his talents to network TV for NBC's Jekyll/Hyde drama 'Do No Harm,' but how lengthy a stay will it be this time?
For as much as we've enjoyed James Cromwell's presence on 'American Horror Story: Asylum' this season, his evil deeds likely don't spell out a pleasant fate, nor would we necessarily expect to see him on the show's recently-announced third season. Fans needn't fear, however, as TVGuide reports Cromwell will soon pop up again in a much more public arena, recurring on NBC's upcoming drama 'Do No Harm.'
Premiering Thursday, January 31, 'Do No Harm' follows Steven Pasquale ('Rescue Me') as a neurologist who undergoes a mysterious transformation into a Mr. Hyde-like figure every night at the stroke of 9:00 p.m. Cromwell will take the role of a "renowned," but yet-to-be-named surgeon, appearing in an unknown number of episodes.
What say you? Does a big-name-get like James Cromwell have you interested to check out 'Do No Harm'? Take a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think!
