TexAmericas Center Partnership Could Bring Japanese Businesses to Texarkana
TexAmericas Center has signed an agreement aimed at bringing Japanese technology, business investment and potential new jobs right here to the Texarkana area.
The agreement connects TexAmericas Center with AIST Solutions and AIST Solutions America, organizations that help Japanese research and technology move into practical business applications. The goal is to help Japanese companies explore the US market, test new technologies, and potentially establish operations in the Texarkana region.
Partnership Could Attract New Businesses and Jobs
For the local area, the partnership could mean new business opportunities, industrial investment, and jobs as companies look for places to expand their operations.

Under the agreement, TexAmericas Center will help Japanese businesses find industrial space, warehouse facilities, shipping and logistics services, and other resources they need to get started in the United States.
“Some companies need a place to test a technology or demonstrate a production process before they’re ready to choose a permanent U.S. location,” said Scott Norton, CEO of TexAmericas Center. “We can help them understand what it would take to operate here and provide space and services as their plans develop.”
Texas A&M-Texarkana Adds Research and Student Opportunities
The partnership also builds on an existing relationship between AIST Solutions and Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The university could provide research expertise and opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience working with emerging technologies and industrial businesses.
Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Among Areas of Interest
Potential areas of collaboration include advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, battery and energy technologies, recycling, advanced materials and critical minerals.
AIST Solutions America has established a presence in the Texarkana area, giving the partnership a local connection as the organizations explore opportunities with Japanese companies.
