Some popular candy bars are being recalled in 55 countries.

According to ABC News, Mars is recalling candy bars in 55 countries after plastic was found in one its products. The recall is primarily in Europe.

The company claims that U.S. markets should not be affected by the recall.

Mars in Germany confirmed that they were affected saying products have "best before" dates ranging from June 19, 2016 to January 8, 2017. They believe that this wide range of dates will ensure that all possibly contaminated products will be off the shelves. The Netherlands is participating in a voluntary recall saying that the plastic could cause choking and involves product manufactured between December 5, 2015 and January 18, 2016.

Products listed as possibly contaminated are Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, Celebrations, and Mini Mix.
