Shake Your Booty in Hot Springs: KC and the Sunshine Band Celebrate 50 Years!
One of my favorite bands of the 70s was KC and the Sunshine Band. Can you believe it's been 50 years since this iconic band was on the mainstream pop charts with a bunch of booty-shakin' music that would light up any dance floor?
KC and the Sunshine Band World Tour 2026
Harry Wayne Casey is the lead singer of KC and the Sunshine Band, and although it's been 50 years, there's no stopping KC from delivering its mega-hits to fans all across the country. His musical style is a fusion of rhythm and blues, funk, with a Latin percussion groove.
KC's musical accomplishments include nine GRAMMY nominations, three GRAMMY Awards, American Music Awards, and sales of over 100 million records worldwide. Changing the sound and culture of pop music, KC and the Sunshine Band was one of the most influential bands of the 70s.
KC and the Sunshine Band Coming to Hot Springs, Arkansas
Today, the band plays over 100 live shows in the U.S. and worldwide and is set to perform its world tour at the Oaklawn Park Event Center on January 30, 2026.
This tour marks their 50th anniversary, celebrating writing songs and performing all their biggest hits for their long-time fans. Be prepared to be blown away by their iconic hits, “Get Down Tonight,” one of my favorites, “That’s The Way (I Like It),” I'm Your Boogie Man," and “Shake Your Booty," to name a few.
